“This painting is a bit silly, but a lot of people love it. If you look closely, you’ll see the obvious fireball head. I was obsessed with trying to paint marbles—like, actually copying the marbles that people played with if you grew up in the 1900s, like I did.
“There are a few other little scattered creatures, too. I don’t know why I made the face so prominent, but I’m sure I had a good reason at the time. Honestly, it might look cool as a pair of socks or something!”
