“This is my ‘flower pour.’ It’s acrylic and Mod Podge on a very thickly painted canvas, so it’s almost sticky—the paint tries to pull itself off because it’s so thick. I just poured the paint, starting from the center, which is what I knew best.
“There are several layers of color, and it turned out pretty well overall. The fun part is the texture: I tried not to let the red or hot pink run off the canvas, so I was scraping it back up as it dried, which gives it a nice 3-D look.”
— Brandie Starr, April 2025
height, length, and depth: 8” x 10” x 1”
media: acrylic paint on canvas
